The title alone got me excited!
I’d be excited if I hadn’t read it before…it’s definitely feeling like they’re trying to squeeze stuff in to create the impression of activity where there is none.
Service is Glory
Death in Service
Death is Glory
You raise an interesting point, although it may be a step up towards more modules and 2.4 as they mention the shopping in the port maybe that’s on its final stage.
The thing which bothers me on these posts is the fact they’re sharing images straight out of the old jump-points, they do that every other week and they’re terrible to read on your phone…. It would take them the same amount of copy and pasting the text into a news posts add some images as it would be cutting up these sections from the jump-point…. Would make it such a clearer read.
I agree they are trying to show progress for the backers or at least the illusion of it. I mean I am sure things are happening, but a lot of it we won’t see for many months.
Though to be fair Dreadnought put out a release in January for the opening of their alpha and didn’t say anything until 3 days ago when they said pretty much “Yup still in alpha, be patient nerds we will eventually finish the game”. I think because of the way CIG is funded they are under more pressure to show progress to the community. So they keep giving us fluff pieces.
It does seem painfully slow but there is progress more probably than they even lead us believe. I doubt they show even half of what is really happening because they don’t want to give to much away or it is stuff that they think might be some what uninteresting to the community. Although I’m ready for the game to be done I am enjoying learning some of the process that they are going through to make it.
